“Since I couldn’t sleep, I decided to make up a little story: What if the key to my insomnia is hiding somewhere right in this room?”
Under My Bed, Inside a Drawer follows a surreal quest to locate the hidden cause of a sleepless night. Suspended in the liminal space between waking and dreaming, the narrative moves through fragmented scenes, sudden cuts, and disorienting shifts in time and scale. As the search probes the room's quiet corners—under the bed, inside forgotten drawers, and among neglected objects—the line between memory, dream, and reality gradually blurs.

“Good shoes take you to good places,” Lee’s mother used to say.
Prompted by this memory during a sleepless night, a character discovers a box under the bed containing a mysterious pair of shoes. The shoes lead into an enigmatic room filled with miniature furnishings. Shot in Lee’s former Queens apartment, the video weaves together handmade sculptures, paintings, and 3D-printed miniature objects—chairs, beds, desks, and wardrobes—that serve as visual clues and props throughout the story.

The Fourth Wall traces a ritualistic assembly of four memory layers into a single cabinet, built around the sculpture The Fourth Wall. Intended as an interactive performance, the work was reshaped by the abrupt shutdown of the School of Visual Arts during the pandemic. In a fleeting moment permitted to clear out her studio, the artist captured this final act within the empty building. The film stands as a poignant farewell ritual to everything forced into separation—the memories trapped in the room, the people drifted apart, and the physical sculpture left behind to wait in the dark.
Performance Film, 10:00 min
The film follows a masked figure invited to a dinner party among strangers. Overwhelmed by a sense of unease and isolation, they yearn to leave the social space and retreat into their own private sanctuary. Every set and painting in the film was hand-crafted by the artist.
